Its content points toward custodians of Macon County records, including the sheriff, Clerk of Superior Court, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. Official access is subject to the North Carolina Public Records Law, Chapter 132, including the criminal investigative-record limits in G.S. 132-1.4. Some pages also connect to independently operated search tools.

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information obtained here or from a linked tool may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also be criminal. The rule is especially important for North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry data. Article 27A and G.S. 14-208.15 govern that information, and the registry warns that misuse can lead to prosecution. Public registry access supports safety awareness, never vigilantism.

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness.
